Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive occupational and preventive healthcare to APL staff. You will conduct DOT exams, manage injuries, prescribe medications, and oversee return-to-work plans in collaboration with the Medical Director and MRO.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced NP degree, active Maryland APRN license, and NRCME certification, with 5+ years in Occupational Health or related fields.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP program.
• Active Maryland APRN license (or Compact eligibility) and national NP certification.
• FMCSA NRCME certification.
• 5+ years of clinical practice in Occupational Health or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational health evaluation and care.
• Manage injuries/illnesses, prescribe medications, coordinate referrals.
• Ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance and maintain medical documentation.
• Support return-to-work, accommodations, and workers’ compensation processes.
• Collaborate with EHS and medical leadership to deliver care.
