Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to coordinate and deliver comprehensive occupational health care for employees and employer partners. The role supports employee health, workplace safety, injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and safe return-to-work outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering occupational health services.
• Ability to coordinate care with physicians and employers.
• Proven understanding of OSHA/DOT regulatory standards.
• Strong patient-centered care and injury prevention focus.
• Experience education patients and staff on health topics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver clinical care within occupational health and primary care.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical exams related to work injuries and illnesses.
• Diagnose and manage acute injuries, occupational illnesses, and chronic conditions affecting work ability.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and tests as appropriate.
• Develop and implement treatment plans focused on recovery and safe return to work.
• Perform procedures such as suturing and injections and manage medical emergencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and communicate with care teams and employers.
• Participate in quality improvement and adherence to OSHA/DOT standards.
