Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, acting as both a Medical Receptionist and a clinical assistant within our model.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, assisting procedures, front desk tasks, and coordinating patient care with other team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where certified/registered by state.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate to patients as directed by the Provider.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
