St. Joseph's/Candler in Georgia seeks a skilled medical assistant to support a physician practice. You will perform basic patient care, take vital signs, administer medications, collect specimens, and document findings in the electronic medical record.

The role emphasizes clear communication with patients and the health care team, adherence to procedures, and readiness to respond to urgent situations. A certificate is preferred and at least one year of ambulatory care experience is requested.

• Basic patient care and routine office procedures performed per policy.
• Vital signs taken on each visit and recorded accurately in the medical record.
• Administration of medications as directed and assisting with testing.
• Maintain concise documentation and effective communication with patients and health care team.

Responsabilidades

• Vital signs are taken on each patient, on each visit and input into eClinical Works.
• Verifies and updates patients clinical record on each visit.
• Identifies patient education needs and may assist in patient teaching as to health maintenance and illness management.
• All controls and specimen collection performed according to policy and procedure.
• Follow policies for routine office procedures, testing, administration of medications and assisting providers up to IV therapy.
