St. Joseph's/Candler in Savannah, GA is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic patient care and support routine clinic operations. The role includes taking vital signs, updating the EMR, and assisting physicians with patient care and education.

The position requires adherence to office policies, and flexibility to cover front desk duties, answer calls, and coordinate patient flow throughout the day. Experience in ambulatory care and certification preferences apply.

Qualifications

• Vital signs are taken on each patient and input into EMR.
• Identifies patient education needs and may assist in patient teaching as to appropriate health maintenance and management of illness.
• Follow policies and procedures for routine office procedures, test, administration of medications and assisting providers up to and including IV therapy.
• Recognizes and anticipates urgent and emergent patient situations and responds appropriately.
• Covers the front desk as needed; receives and routes calls and follows scripting.
