Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the Health Pavilion Washington location in Indianapolis. The role focuses on evaluation, planning, and delivering therapy to disabled patients within a collaborative rehab team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in OT and an Indiana license, with preferred experience in orthopedic hand therapy and orthoses. Strong knowledge of anatomy and current therapeutic techniques is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in OT is required.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit.
  • Previous orthopaedic occupational hand therapy experience and history of making orthoses is preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy concepts, materials and technological advances, and evolving professional trends.

Responsibilities

  • The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for the disabled patient.
  • Establishes and maintains a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes and personal safety.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree from and accredited OT program is required
  • Must have a valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit
  • Previous Ortho Occupational Hand Therapy and history of making orthoses experience, preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.
  • You will effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals and communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
  • An ability to incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient will help.
