Related Affordable is seeking a Recertification and Occupancy Specialist to join our Henrico, VA community. You will handle initial, interim, and annual certifications, calculate rents, and ensure HUD guideline compliance while delivering resident-centered service in a high-volume setting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires experience processing high-volume HUD Project Based Section 8 and/or LIHTC recertifications.
• Real Page One Site experience is a plus.
• Notary public is a plus.
• COS/TCS/BOS credentials are a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process certifications (initial, interim, and annual) and calculate retroactive rent per HUD guidelines.
• Collect documentation from residents and process verifications.
• Apply correct rents for annual/interim recertifications and ensure compliance.
• Review and finalize HUD 50059 forms.
• Explain rent calculations and prepare rent repayment agreements per HUD guidelines.
• Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Support site and office operations as assigned.

If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Recertification and Occupancy Specialist at affordable housing community in Henrico, VA.

• Utilize your organizational skills and experience to provide the preeminent affordable housing accommodations in your community.
• Through your daily interactions with prospective and current residents, you’ll create a welcoming experience and sense of community.
• Process certifications (including initial, interim, and annual); calculate retroactive rent while conforming to all applicable guidelines.
• Collect necessary documentation from current or prospective residents, and process verifications.
• Apply correct rents for annual and interim recertification; adjust to remain compliant.
• Review and finalize HUD 50059 forms.
• Prepare rent repayment agreements and explain rent calculations to residents according to HUD guidelines.
• Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Organized and Detail-Oriented: Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while efficiently managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Self-Sufficient and Adaptable: Complete tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision, thriving in a busy, high-volume environment.
• Effective Time Management: Prioritize and manage time to consistently meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
• Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You have experience with processing high volume HUD Project Based Section 8 and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) recertifications required
• Real Page One Site experience is a plus
• Notarypublic is a plus
• You have COS/TCS/BOS credentials is a plus
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM
