Related Affordable is seeking a dedicated Housing Certification Specialist to manage high-volume HUD recertifications and LIHTC processing in a fast-paced community setting.

You will verify documents, calculate retroactive rents, and ensure compliance with HUD guidelines while collaborating with residents and staff. A Notary license and bilingual Spanish are a plus, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience processing high-volume HUD Project-Based Section 8 and/or LIHTC recertifications.
  • RealPage One Site experience is a plus.
  • Notary public license is a plus.
  • OS/BOS credentials or COS/TCS/BOS credentials are a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Strong accountability, reliability, and proactive problem solving; collaborative, resident-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preeminent affordable housing accommodations in the community using organizational skills and experience.
  • Interact with prospective and current residents to create a welcoming experience and foster community.
  • Process certifications (initial, interim, annual), calculate retroactive rent and ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Collect necessary documentation from residents and process verifications.
  • Apply correct rents for annual and interim recertification and adjust as needed to remain compliant.
  • Review and finalize HUD 50059 forms.
  • Prepare rent repayment agreements and explain rent calculations to residents per HUD guidelines.
  • Review EIV reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accuracy and detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Complete tasks independently with minimal supervision in a busy, high-volume environment.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Strong accountability, reliability, and proactive problem solving; collaborative, resident-centered approach.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $31.25 per hour.
  • Annual performance bonus.
  • Position is non-exempt; eligible for overtime pay.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off.
