The RN will administer medications, conduct patient assessments, educate families, and participate in emergencies, with a focus on infection control and safety. Night shifts are available with opportunities for growth within a century-long community hospital.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per policies and nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications, monitor side effects, and document administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans and goals.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards in daily practice.
• Document care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
• Participate in performance improvement and professional development.
• Oversee obstetrics-related duties including prenatal screening and labor support.
