Immediate Openings for OB-GYN Physicians - Virginia's Shenandoah Valley

Position Details:

• Role: OB-GYN
• Openings: 2 (one urgently, second within 1 year)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Reason: Recent partial retirement of founding partner

Practice Structure:

• Single specialty, physician-owned
• Currently 4 full-time physicians
• Founding physician reduced to 2 days/week in-office OB-GYN (no call/hospital)
• 5 full-time CNMs performing deliveries and office GYN; CNMs have their own patients, physicians provide backup and perform C-sections; CNMs handle postop care
• Scope of Practice: Inpatient/Outpatient mix, approximately 50% OB / 50% GYN

Job Schedule:

• Full-scope OB-GYN practice
• Current schedule: 3 days/week in-office, 1 day off (optional), 1 weekday and 1 weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) call every 4th week
• Call coverage depends on number of physicians (currently 4)
• In-house call, with possibility of home call if within 30 minutes
• Call ratio: 1:4
• Employment status: Employed by group

Partnership & Teaching:

• Partnership offered after 2 years as employee
• Equal voting share on Board
• Buy-in includes assets and AR, flexible terms, usually salary reduction instead of lump sum
• No resident or medical student teaching; optional PA/NP rotation; no academic appointment

Compensation & Benefits:

• Negotiable salary plus production bonus, sign-on, and productivity bonuses
• Average earnings: $407,000/year
