Job summary

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within one week of hire.
• NRP certification required upon hire.
• ACLS preferred.
• Breastfeeding certification within one year of hire.
• Two years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• One year of medical/surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data within 24 hours of admission and documents pertinent findings.
• Develops and communicates the patient plan of care.
• Formulates plans based on nursing theory with patient and team involvement.
• Communicates plan of care through shift reports and procedures.
• Plans discharge within 24 hours of admission and revises as needed.
• Administers medications safely and documents according to procedures.

Education

Massachusetts RN license

BLS/CPR certification

NRP certification

ACLS (preferred)

Breast feeding certification (within 1 year)

Labor and Delivery experience (2+ years)

Medical/Surgical experience (1+ year)
