Job summary

Nantucket Cottage Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 100% onsite Nantucket Island facility. The role is 36 hours weekly with rotating shifts and prioritizes ED experience.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the life span, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment and discharge planning. Strong adherence to nursing standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school required.
• Current, valid Massachusetts RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required prior to completion of orientation or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients.
• Collect and document data within 24 hours of admission.
• Communicate patient plan of care through shift reports and documentation.
• Formulate discharge plan within 24 hours of admission.
• Demonstrates proficiency in administering treatments and equipment as required.
