Job summary

Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, OH seeks an Obstetric Surgical Technician to support the Labor and Delivery team during childbirth, performing technical tasks and ensuring a clean, ready delivery environment. You will function as the primary 1st assist and secondary scrub for cesarean deliveries and other cases.

After training, you will join the on-call rotation with 30-minute response time, working 12-hour shifts and varying day schedules to meet patient needs and department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program or LPN program with valid unrestricted license.
• RN student in progress with clinical rotation in nursing program or BSN track.
• Must have completed anatomy and physiology I & II.
• BLS certification required; CNA or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience in OR/OB setting preferred; patient care tech background acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as 1st assist and secondary scrub for cesarean deliveries.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, sterilizations and OB cases.
• Support on-call rotation within Family Birth Center; 30-minute response.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of delivery environment.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, midwives, and surgical staff.
