Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for an Associate Obsolescence Engineer or Obsolescence Engineer in Melbourne, Florida. This role supports the DMSMS team within the Product Support organization, coordinating with procurement, engineering and program management to resolve obsolescence issues.

The candidate will analyze data, maintain obsolescence BOMs, track issues, and participate in life-of-need buy decisions, with a U.S. Government security clearance required.

Qualifications

Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree in STEM by August 2027.
Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

Perform full spectrum of DMSMS management tasks to reduce obsolescence risk.
Coordinate with cross-discipline teams to execute DMSMS statements of work.
Develop and maintain obsolescence bills of material with suppliers and manage data.
Track obsolescence issues and analyze alternatives for resolutions.
Support Life of Need Buy calculations and technology roadmaps.
