Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Associate Engineer or Engineer to manage DMSMS and obsolescence risks. You will coordinate with procurement, engineering, and program teams to propose and implement solutions that protect current contracts and lifecycle plans.

The role requires STEM excellence, potential for security clearance, and collaboration across IPTs. Relocation support may be available, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required or pursuing
• Master's degree preferred for Engineer track
• Experience with DMSMS concepts and processes is a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of DMSMS management tasks to identify obsolescence risks
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, IPTs, and programs to resolve obsolescence issues
• Develop and maintain obsolescence bills of material with suppliers
• Track obsolescence issues using DMSMS case management tools and data
• Analyze alternatives and support Life of Need Buy decisions
• Collect data for technical interchange meetings and program deliverables
