Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks an Associate Obsolescence Engineer or Obsolescence Engineer to join the DMSMS team. You will work as an individual contributor supporting the Product Support organization, coordinating with procurement, IPTs, and program management to resolve obsolescence issues and protect contracts.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be completing or have completed a STEM bachelor’s degree by August 2027.
• Must be majoring in or have majored in a STEM field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• For Engineer path: Master’s degree by August 2027 or Bachelor’s with 2 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of DMSMS management tasks to identify obsolescence risks.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to execute DMSMS statements of work.
• Develop obsolescence bills of material and forecast obsolescence impacts.
• Track obsolescence issues using case management tools from identification to resolution.
• Support Life of Need Buy quantity calculations and technology roadmaps.
