Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL, seeks an Associate Obsolescence Engineer or Obsolescence Engineer to join the DMSMS team supporting Product Support. The role focuses on identifying obsolescence risks, coordinating with procurement, engineering and customers to implement solutions, and managing BOMs and data analyses.

Candidates must meet degree requirements and be able to obtain U.S. security clearance; relocation assistance may be available. The position is located in Melbourne, Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required by Aug 2027.
• Master's degree or Bachelor's with 2 years of engineering experience by Aug 2027.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• GPA 3.25/4.0 or higher (preferred).
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of DMSMS management on assigned system to identify obsolescence risk.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline teams to execute DMSMS SOW.
• Develop and maintain obsolescence bills of material with suppliers.
• Track obsolescence issues using DMSMS case management tool and analyze alternatives.
• Support Life of Need Buy quantities and technology roadmaps.
• Provide data for technical meetings and program deliverables.
