Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a part-time Staff Nurse to support the 3S – Observation Unit. The RN will assess, coordinate discharge planning, and rapidly evaluate patients for safe discharge or admission to an inpatient unit.

The role requires a BSN, an active Illinois RN license, and BLS. ADN with commitment to BSN within three years is acceptable. Healthy collaboration and strong analytic skills are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required and IL RN license.
• BLS required.
• ADN with commitment to BSN within 3 years of start date acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops an individualized care plan and coordinates delivery.
• Directs care and utilizes nursing team effectively.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and other health professionals.
• Participates in governance and unit projects.
• Documents patient responses and adjusts care plan accordingly.
• Uses evidence to guide practice decisions.
