Qualifications

• Graduation from NLN accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• Attends unit conferences, in-service programs and continuing education activities to meet the organization’s expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient flow through compliance to unit and Patient Services policies.
• Remains flexible with 24-hour staffing patterns for care in inpatient units.
• Communicates with patients and families professionally and courteously.
• Assess, care for and treat patients according to Covenant HealthCare guidelines.
• Formulates and coordinates a goal-directed plan of care based on nursing diagnoses.
• Delegates, supervises and implements care using standards and best practices.
• Collaborates with health care teams to facilitate outcomes and discharge planning.
• Identifies learning needs and provides discharge instruction.
• Demonstrates nursing judgment within the nursing process.
• Documents care observations and interventions accurately in the EHR.
• Participates in quality management and continuous competency updates.
