Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a hospital setting. The RN will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Illinois RN license, maintain BLS certification, and demonstrate strong clinical judgment and patient safety focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN (IDFPR)
• BLS within 30 days (AHA)
• College Diploma: Nursing

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided for healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Implements and evaluates plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Ensures patient safety and compliance with safety protocols; reports hazards and incidents.
• Communicates effectively within the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Delivers medications using the 5 Rights and ensures timely administration.
• Supports prompt admission/discharge for Observation status and aids in testing for discharge.
