Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) for the Observation Unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Ohio. The RN will deliver care using the nursing process, assess patients, and develop plans in collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include administering medications safely, coordinating patient care across departments, and participating in quality improvement initiatives while upholding professional standards and nursing practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Valid state nursing license required.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and organization policies and procedures.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
