Job summary

eTel is seeking a skilled Monitoring/Operations professional for a Washington, D.C. area role focused on building dashboards and alerts, tuning API performance profiles, and supporting load testing during Filing Season.

You will work with AppDynamics, ELK, Prometheus, Kong, and related tools under an operations lead guidance. You will collect metrics, ensure system reliability, track certificates, and produce weekly/daily reviews.

Qualifications

1–3 years in monitoring, operations, site reliability, or performance testing.
Experience with at least one monitoring or log tool (AppDynamics, ELK/Elastic, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace).
Understanding of HTTP, APIs, latency, throughput, and error rates.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain dashboards and alerts in AppDynamics and the ELK stack, and add Prometheus metrics for Kong.
Set a normal profile for each API (volume, latency and errors by hour/season) and tune alerts to catch drift, not noise.
Help run a 60 day alert baseline that reduces auto-generated IRS tickets.
Track certificate expiry dates and raise alerts at 60, 30 and 14 days.
Collect performance data, prepare weekly reviews, and support daily reviews during Filing Season.
Script and run load tests on webMethods and Kong before peak periods and migration waves.
Pull logs and metrics to support incident triage and root cause analysis.
Report monthly availability and performance against contract standards.
