Tri-State is seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to lead enterprise observability and Splunk strategy. You will define architecture, data models, dashboards, and alerting while mentoring engineers and driving automation to improve service visibility and reliability.

The role covers data onboarding, CIM standards, capacity planning, and collaboration with leadership to ensure compliance and optimal system performance. Remote work up to 40% may be available.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of observability architecture and telemetry pipelines.
• Expert Splunk knowledge including indexing, data onboarding, dashboards and alerting.
• Experience with automation and engineering practices using APIs and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and define enterprise standards for observability platforms.
• Serve as the technical authority for Splunk and related capabilities.
• Design telemetry strategies for logs, metrics, traces, and events.
• Lead dashboards, alerts, and operational analytics across services.
