Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist for the Women's Center Operating Room at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The role supports surgeons and RNs to ensure safe, efficient invasive procedures and a sterile operating environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and is either a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or has relevant military training. CST certification is preferred, with state-specific requirements considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent military training preferred.
• Certification in Surgical Technology (CST/TS-C/NRCST/SA-C) preferred or state-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe, effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures under surgeon and RN supervision.
• Ensure sterile environment and proper functioning of equipment to maximize patient safety during procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique and anatomy to support physician performance.
