Job summary

Eastern Iowa Health Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced OBGYN Physician (M.D. or D.O.) to join our growing team of doctors and nurse practitioners in a women’s health clinic.

You will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care. The position features a competitive schedule with on-call and clinic time, plus a strong emphasis on health equity and patient-centered

Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Current State of Iowa medical license required or ability to achieve same in a short period of time required.
  • Iowa Certificate of Controlled Substances, Federal DEA, and current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal care, management of routine and complex pregnancies, in-office ultrasound and antenatal testing, as well as a broad range of gynecologic services and in-office procedures.
  • Facilitate team member success and smooth daily operations towards established goals by working with collaborative care model.
  • Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic assessments to obtain and document pertinent physical, social, behavioral, environmental, and lifestyle factors that influence health, while addressing the presenting concern and identifying additional services or care needs as indicated.
  • Initiate, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures relevant to obstetric and gynecologic care, using assessment findings and clinical data to establish and prioritize diagnoses and develop appropriate plans of care through complex clinical reasoning.

Eastern Iowa Health Center (EIHC) is seeking an OBGYN Physician to join our growing team of doctors and nurse practitioners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal care, management of routine and complex pregnancies, in-office ultrasound and antenatal testing, as well as a broad range of gynecologic services and in-office procedures.
  • Facilitate team member success and smooth daily operations towards established goals by working with collaborative care model.

SCHEDULE
  • 6 on call days per month (24 hour shifts) with a post-call day off
  • 8 clinic days per month (8 hour shifts) on weekdays only
  • Weekly OR block time with DaVinci Robot available
  • Scheduled hours will depend on part-time or full-time status
