Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for our OBGYN clinic in McLean, VA. This full-time day-shift role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, at 6845 Elm St #600, McLean, VA 22101.

The RN will perform full intakes, vaccinations, medication reconciliations, and phlebotomy, delivering safe, holistic care in a physician practice. Virginia RN licensure and BSN are required, with BLS certification. 1–2 years in Labor & Delivery is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• Provides safe/therapeutic care in a physician practice or other outpatient setting; integrates knowledge, skills and experience to meet patient/family needs.
• Incorporates data and information to improve care and outcomes; serves as a resource, preceptor and mentor.
• Ensures efficiency in care delivery; determines priorities and offers solutions with the team to maximize productivity.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.
