Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) with ACLS to provide comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Texas. The role includes diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and education, aligned with the Nurse Practice Act and Interprofessional team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Nursing, graduation from an accredited NP program, 2+ years RN/APP experience, Texas RN license with permanent licensure, ANCC Non-Acute Care certification,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience.
• RN license in Texas with permanent license within 60 days (if establishing residency).
• Non-Acute Care ANCC certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• AP Prescriptive Authority and DEA license/registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, treatment and consultation to patients.
• Order tests and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional care team to plan patient care.
• Demonstrate compassionate communication and ensure patient education on care and prevention.
