Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care (ACLS) to provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing, treating, and consulting within inpatient and outpatient settings. Required are RN Texas licensure, APRN Acute Care certification, ACLS/BLS, prescriptive authority, and DEA license. Exempt status and hospital-based practice apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program.
• Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience.
• RN Texas licensure; APRN Acute Care license; Magnet ANCC Acute Care certification; BLS; ACLS; Prescriptive Authority; DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership as a clinical resource and patient advocate within the interprofessional care team.
• Communicates organizational information in a respectful and positive manner and promotes teamwork.
• Coordinates patient care with physicians and other providers, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.
• Performs health assessments, develops care plans, and implements interventions per Nurse Practice Act.
