Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support Obstetrics/Gynecology at the Greater Charlotte area. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, reviewing medical history, and assisting providers during procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• 2 years of verifiable MA experience in last 5 years for some divisions.

Responsibilities

• Rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, health maintenance, allergies.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT under standing orders.
• Administer medications and vaccines per rights.
• Schedule appointments, manage referrals and insurance authorizations.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and proper equipment function.
