Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant for the OBGYN Clinic to support both clinical and administrative duties. The role involves ECGs, patient data collection, and assisting the health team during procedures, while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities span from scheduling and registration to handling specimens, maintaining logs, and supporting patient flow. Prior experience is helpful, but training is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HS diploma/GED plus Certificate in Medical Assisting.
• Experienced medical assistants preferred but will train on the job
• Must have EKG/Phlebotomy and clinical skills from training at an accredited school.
• Good communications skills in English. Additional language skills is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and assist with billing regularly.
• Collect patient data and ensure accurate records.
• Support patient flow and assist nurse/health team during procedures.
• Maintain equipment logs and restock supplies.
• Adhere to BMC RESPECT standards.
