Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Medical Assistant for the OB-GYN Clinic on a per diem basis. Under RN supervision, you will support clinical tasks and assist with patient flow in the ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include EKGs, basic testing, data collection, and clerical duties such as scheduling and insurance verification. Experience with EKG/Phlebotomy preferred; HS diploma with MA certificate required.

Qualifications

• Must have EKG/Phlebotomy and clinical skills from training at an accredited school.
• Good communications skills in English.
• Basic computer proficiency; ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data.

Responsabilités

• Perform electrocardiograms (EKG).
• Assists with billing on a regular basis.
• Collects patient data (vital signs, weight, reason for visit) and maintains accurate records.
• Performs basic patient testing (e.g., guaiac, glucose finger stick, urine tests).
• Verifies insurance and schedules appointments; facilitates patient flow.
