Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

What you’ll do includes welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, assisting with exams, testing, and specimen collection, administering medications, and communicating results

Qualifications

• Must have completed an MA program or equivalent externship/internship.
• Credentialed MA or EMT/Paramedic pathways are acceptable.
• May require current MA certification or active EMT/Paramedic license in Michigan per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
