Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II for the Copperfield OBGYN practice in Concord, NC. This full-time role supports patient care through rooming, vital signs, history taking, and lab duties. You will assist physicians with procedures and ensure timely patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of formal MA program.
• Two years of experience as Medical Assistant in the last 5 years.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming tasks, vital signs, med reconciliation, history, and screenings.
• Assists providers with procedures and lab duties, including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and patient messaging as needed.
• Maintains clean and stocked work environment and trains teammates.
