Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join the OBGYN unit. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide patient-centered nursing care, assist with procedures, and maintain safe, high-quality care within the unit.

You will collect patient information, monitor status, administer medications, perform educational activities, and support discharge planning while adhering to iRESPECT standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Qualified by education, training or experience to work with pediatric, adult and/or geriatric patients as specialty dictates.
• LPN license to practice in TN.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification on hire.
• Experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an LPN program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and standards.
• Collects key information from patient, family, laboratory, and other medical reports.
• Administers to the overall physical and emotional needs of the patient.
• Performs nursing interventions including venipuncture, med administration, and patient education.
• Coordinates discharge planning and communicates patient status to the RN.
