Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Float Registered Nurse based in New Providence, NJ, providing bedside support and coordinating patient flow across OBGYN offices in nearby towns. You will welcome patients, prepare exam rooms, and ensure clear communication about procedures and next steps.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an RN; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• BLS certification preferred; within 90 days of employment if not already current.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and prepares the patient for their appointment; informs patient about services.
• Administers PO, IM, and ID medications as directed by the Provider.
• Conducts point-of-care tests and EKGs; performs minor procedures as ordered.
• Collects vital signs, histories, and screenings; documents findings.
• Provides medication/diet instructions to patients; explains prescriptions.
• Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens correctly.
• Maintains treatment rooms and equipment; supports infection control.
