Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Sr. Medical Science Liaison for Obesity and Related Conditions in San Diego, CA. This field-based role reports to the Obesity MSL Field Director and covers San Diego, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Escondido, El Cajon, Chula Vista, El Centro, and Hawaii.

You will be the primary scientific resource for OLs and PHDMs, executing Amgen medical strategy, sharing data, and supporting sponsored research with a strong emphasis on compliant scientific exchange.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or higher in a relevant field and 4+ years of Medical Affairs experience; or Master’s with 8+ years; or Bachelor’s with 10+ years.
• Five years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• At least three years in a medical science liaison role; cardiometabolic/Obesity expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scientific/clinical resource to key Opinion Leaders and healthcare providers to advance Amgen’s medical strategy.
• Engage with investigators and sites to support obesity and related conditions pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data of clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to stakeholders while ensuring compliance.
