Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an OBD Verification Engineer in Bellevue, WA to test and develop engine controls and emission systems using calibration tools. You will work with ATI Vision, CAN tooling, MATLAB, and data analytics to validate emissions performance across regions.

As a senior engineer with 5+ years in automotive testing, you will collaborate across engine programs and truck divisions, contribute to clean energy initiatives, and support testing from prototype through production in a dynamic,

Qualifications

BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Masters preferred.
5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Proficient with MATLAB and Simulink.
Experience with CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, etc.
Knowledge of statistics for big data analytics.
Strong communication across domains.
Automotive experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Use ATI Vision to force the engine to a state suitable for testing in a controlled environment.
Use Canalyzer to intercept and overwrite CAN messages from sensors and actuators to the engine.
Perform big data analytics using MATLAB and statistical methods.
Diagnostic calibration through simulation.
Participate in off-site testing across the United States.
Work collaboratively with teams within the engine program and truck divisions.
Participate in future clean energy initiatives from an OBD perspective.
Facilitate testing activities through all phases from prototype to production.
