Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an On-Board Diagnostic Calibration Engineer to develop and validate OBD strategies for gas engine control systems. The role includes reviewing designs, creating test plans, and managing vehicle and bench resources to ensure on-time launches.

The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with hardware, controls, software, and testing teams, and will guide instrumentation while using data from INCA to ensure proper diagnostic behavior. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in OBD or emissions calibration or controls preferred.
• Proficient with INCA, MATLAB and Simulink/Stateflow.
• Basic understanding of internal combustion engine propulsion hardware and function.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review system and software designs and generate test plans.
• Manage vehicle/test-bench/virtual resources and calibrations.
• Develop and validate compliant calibrations for propulsion programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, controls, software and testing teams.
• Guide instrumentation and use data from acquisition software to verify diagnostic behavior.
• Gather requirements and milestones to plan development and launches.
• Travel 1–4 weeks per year for system validation and verification.
