Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including OB ultrasounds under Maternal Fetal Medicine. The role requires ARDMS registration, 1 year OB experience, and ongoing credentialing in niche fetal assessments.

Onsite position in Alabama with a focus on high-risk pregnancy imaging and routine invasive procedures. BLS certification is required, with professional development opportunities in fetal echo credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program, or equivalent experience according to IAC.
• 1 year of OB ultrasound experience required.
• ARDMS Registered required.
• Nuchal Translucency certification within 1 year of onboarding required.
• Fetal Echo Credential within 3 years of onboarding required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
• Includes diagnostic ultrasounds of inpatient high-risk pregnancies under the care of Maternal Fetal Medicine providers.
