Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a full-time CNM or NP with OB/GYN experience to join the OB Triage team. The role involves evaluating patients referred from the ED and on-call services, coordinating care within the OB/GYN department, and providing 24/7 hospital-based coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited midwifery program with Certificate of nurse-midwifery.
• Successful completion of integration experience in an accredited midwifery program.
• American Heart Association BLS

Responsibilities

• Evaluates need for and ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Assesses need for referral to other healthcare providers.
• Educates patients and families and encourages participation in healthcare decisions.
• Participates in labor and delivery coverage for caseload and assists with obstetric procedures as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and other team members to coordinate care.
• Completes postpartum rounds and discharges in a timely fashion.
