Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking an OB Technician to support the Labor and Delivery team during the night shift. The role focuses on assisting with patient care and surgical interventions under RN supervision to deliver safe, compassionate care.

This part-time night position requires less than 1 year of applicable experience and BLS (RQI) certification. You will perform multiskilled clinical and clerical tasks as an integral member of the patient care team.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year applicable experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of care to the patient during surgical interventions in Labor and Delivery.
• Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and collaborate with the health care team.

Job Description OB Technician within the organizational structure of the Labor and Delivery area assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention. Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures. The OB Tech provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The OB Tech individualizes and modifies care according to the patients needs. The OB Tech collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care. The OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team.
