Job summary

Saint Luke’s North Hospital–Barry Road in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Full-Time OB Technologist for night shifts (3x12 hours, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with weekend and holiday coverage. The role supports surgical procedures in Labor and Delivery under RN supervision.

Experience less than 1 year is noted; BLS is required; CST certification is preferred but not required. Saint Luke’s offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivery of care to patients undergoing surgical intervention.
• Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.
• Provides patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Individualizes and modifies care according to patient needs.
• Collaborates with health care team to enhance patient care.
• Performs clinical and clerical functions as an integral member of the care team.

Saint Luke’s North Hospital–Barry Road currently seeking a Full-Time OB Technologist for nights. Shift: 3 12 hour night shifts 6:45PM to 7:15AM per week weekend and holiday shift requirements Surgical scrub tech experience preferred. Certified scrub tech (CST) candidates preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• OB Technician within the organizational structure of the Labor and Delivery area assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention.
• Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.
• The OB Tech provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• The OB Tech individualizes and modifies care according to the patients needs.
• The OB Tech collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
• The OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team.

Job Requirements

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
