Qualifications

• Completion of high school education with basic knowledge of patient care techniques.
• Strong clinical knowledge of OR environment.
• Surgical Technician or OB Technician experience preferred; Medical Assistant and STNA experience may be considered.
• BLS certification within 30 days; BHDT within six months; Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up vaginal delivery tables; prepares supplies and equipment for deliveries and procedures; opens sterile supplies and assists in OR.
• Supports licensed nurses with direct and indirect patient care and maintains a safe, clean environment.
• Collects patient data (vital signs, weight, input/output, pain) and reports findings to the nurse.
• Communicates professionally with staff, patients and guests; greets and guides patients through procedures.
• Responds to emergencies and may work weekends/holidays as scheduled.
