Job summary

Saint Clare's Health is seeking an OB Technician to support labor and delivery services. The role involves direct patient care and clerical support under a Registered Nurse, serving neonate to adult patients and coordinating with physicians and families.

Responsibilities include handling birth certificates and related paperwork. The position is Per Diem with Night shifts; candidates should have a High School Diploma, BLS within 30 days, and completion of an approved nursing/EMT/paramedic program

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to support the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit under RN supervision.
• Interacts with physicians, patients and families to provide basic care and ensure smooth unit operation.
• Is responsible for completion and processing of birth certificates and Declaration of Paternity forms.
