Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA, seeks an Obstetrics and Gynecology Technologist to join the Family Birth Center's LDRP team. The role supports nursing care, newborn testing, and OR procedures within the maternity services area, with 12-hour shifts and block scheduling.

Training can take 8–12 weeks; 1 year of OR or LPN/Surgical Tech experience preferred. A 30-minute or closer commute is needed for on-call requirements; BLS within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Trade School Graduate of Surgical Technology or Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Certification/Licensure: Certified Surgical Technologist preferred or LPN; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: 1 year as LPN or Surgical Tech; OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care and surgical services in maternity services.
• Support in newborn testing and surgical procedures.
• Perform duties within operating room obstetrical practice and post-labor care.
