Job summary

Johnson Regional Medical Center in Arkansas seeks a full-time OB Tech to support the Labor and Delivery team. You will assist with deliveries, prepare delivery rooms, maintain sterile environments, and help post-delivery care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include equipment setup/sterilization, patient transport, documentation, and providing compassionate, patient-focused assistance during high-pressure obstetric procedures.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist or OB Tech training preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile environments for labor, delivery, and surgical procedures.
• Assist physicians and nurses during vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Set up and break down delivery and surgical rooms, including equipment sterilization.
• Transport patients to and from the operating room or delivery suites.
• Monitor and restock surgical and delivery supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and equipment logs.
• Provide comfort measures and non-clinical support to patients and families.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
