Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System at Liberty Hospital seeks an OB Tech to support the Labor and Delivery team. This part-time role covers day and night shifts, working closely with the RN and physicians during obstetric care, cesarean and vaginal deliveries, and ensuring instruments and supplies are organized and ready for procedures.

Ideal candidates will have completed an OB Tech program, hold a high school diploma, and have prior healthcare experience, with CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Completion of OB Tech program mandatory.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and Physician in obstetric care and cesarean/vaginal deliveries.
• Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, specimen handling, and discharge processes.
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic environment in the OR.
• Enter orders and charges into the computer system.
