Job summary

Mercy in Joplin, MO is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide comprehensive patient care in the obstetrics suite. Under nursing and medical staff direction, you will perform clinical and clerical duties, support ADLs for mothers and newborns, and assist in surgical procedures with a focus on safety and teamwork.

New graduates through experienced technologists are welcome; BLS and CST certification are required, and you may be on call.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program per NBST is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• Maintain Certification without gaps.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and non-clinical support for obstetric patients and assist with surgical procedures.
• Support the nursing team and patients with activities of daily living and care assistance.
• Maintain patient records, bed control, transport, and other unit operations as assigned.
• Work as part of a team and respond calmly to obstetrical emergencies.
