Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide patient care support and assist in surgical procedures within the OB unit. The role requires CST and BLS certifications, a completion of a surgical technologist program, and the ability to maintain certification without gaps.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED, with both clinical and non-clinical duties performed to support the nursing team and patient care. BLS and CST are mandatory credentials.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• This is a certified technologist (CST) position.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program per the National Board of Surgical Technology is required.
• Maintain Certification without gaps.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support and assist with obstetrical emergencies as part of the team.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Handle patient records, bed control, transportation, and registration as assigned.
• May take call and work with Mercy standards.
