Job summary

University Health's Lakewood Medical Center seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to join Labor & Delivery. The role is full-time with a 6:45PM-7:15AM schedule, 36 hours per week, at UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

You will prepare and scrub instruments, uphold asepsis, and support the surgical team in demanding cases. The CST must have a high school diploma or GED, BLS, and be able to lift and stand for long periods while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Active CST credential from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Gather, prepare, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to surgical asepsis for patient safety.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs with precision in the OR.
• Scrub in on a wide range of procedures and adapt quickly.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team in time-sensitive environments.
